Food Pyramid -

Does this sound too good to be true? Well it’s not, since the key is to eat many small meals. The great news is that you won’t crave for large meals since you won’t be hungry. This is why you will be able to lose weight and at the same time feeling good while losing weight.

Small meals keep your blood sugar in balance

Several small meals throughout the day are a natural way of living according to the human’s biological rhythm. We are not reptiles who can live without food for days. We need to eat small meals often to keep our blood sugar in order and help the body to assimilate nutrition. The body reacts positively to dividing meals throughout the day. The body will find its rhythm and you will feel good overall.

Small meals increase your metabolism

Eating small portions often is also good in order to lose weight, because small meals increase your metabolism. Many people who wish to lose weight do the exact opposite and skip meals. This will give you an increased sense of hunger which will lead to larger meals compared to if you had eaten even throughout the day.

Eat 3 main meals and 2-3 small meals

The key is to eat small portions through out the day if you want to lose weight. You won’t get hungry and you will find a healthy food routine. You should eat 3 main meals and 2-3 small meals.
The total food that you eat during the day should be divided as follows:

  • Breakfast 25%
  • Lunch 30%
  • Dinner 30%
  • 2-3 small meals 15%

For example:

  • 8.00 Breakfast
  • 10.00 Small meal – one fruit, or one slice of whole meal bread with cottage cheese
  • 12.00 Lunch – little fish or meat, some rice and plenty of vegetables
  • 14.30 Small meal
  • 18.00 Dinner
  • 20.00 Perhaps a small meal
